Description
Finca El Alisal, located on the slopes of the Andes mountain range in the Quilanga canton of Loja province, Ecuador, at 2000 meters above sea level, is more than a cultivation site; it is the epicenter of a heritage that has been passed down through four generations of passionate coffee growers. Here, where the land meets the sky, we embrace both tradition, represented by our Typica Nacional, and innovation through the introduction of exceptional varietals such as Sidra, Typica Mejorada, Geisha, and Batian, promising in their potential to express the richness of our unparalleled terroir.
Our commitment to quality is unwavering. From the meticulous manual harvesting of each bean at its optimal point of maturity to a carefully controlled fermentation and drying process, we ensure that the coffee we produce not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the most demanding palates. This dedication to excellence is reflected in every cup of El Alisal coffee, offering a sensory experience that is as rich and complex as the land from which it comes.
Sustainability and respect for the environment are fundamental pillars of our philosophy. Through initiatives such as reforestation with native plants, we seek not only to preserve local biodiversity and improve the health of the soil and plants but also to contribute to carbon capture, a vital effort in combating climate change. This holistic approach to agriculture allows us to produce a coffee that is truly sustainable, ensuring that our farm remains a haven of biodiversity and natural beauty for future generations.
Collaboration with the local community is essential for us. By working hand in hand with our neighbors, we aim not only to improve the region's economy but also to share our knowledge to grow together. This spirit of community and cooperation is what allows us to move forward together towards a more promising and sustainable future.
