Description
Vitor Marcelo Queiroz Barbosa, the son of Danilo Barbosa, a descendent of a family of coffee producers, was born in 1981. He has been in close contact with farms since infancy and since a young age he knew he path he would take and his passion for coffee grew from there. The coffee producing tradition has been in the family since 1980. Vitor Marcelo is a third-generation producer and has worked with coffee since he was 14. Fazenda Cachoeira was acquired in 2005, and is the apple of the eye in specialty coffee quality. The company has several youths and women in its workforce, from production to administration, all committed to professional growth and the production of quality coffees.
The coffee was picked mechanically. It was fermented aerobically in big bags for 60 hours, washed and then dried in piles for 14 days until reaching the ideal humidity.
The DBarbosa Coffee group in concerned about producing coffee in an ethical, sustainable and socially conscious manner, working in accordance with the laws in force in Brazil and the standards of sustainable agriculture imposed by the RAS (Sustainable Agriculture Network). All lots produced on the farm are cupped during the harvest, when the coffees are still on the patio, continuing the traceability process. The granaries are separated according to the profile of each coffee, thus ensuring a quality map of the coffees produced.
