AASH Coffee Pulping PLC - Ethiopia 2021

AASH is a coffee exporter and supplier that has been operational in the coffee industry for the last three years. It has won 14th and 28th place in the competition.
AASH works with 1100 registered coffee farmers in Bulga kebele, Nensebo woreda in the West Arsi zone of the Oromia region which is found at an altitude of 1800-2100 meters above sea level. These farmers grow the 74/10 and 74/110 varieties of coffee applying organic farming practices. The company annually collects an average of one million kilograms of red cherries, specialty coffee from about 200-300 hectares of land.
The coffee is processed into both sun-dried natural and washed coffees which are then exported to countries in Asia, the USA, and Europe. Nigist Mekonnen, owner of AASH says, “This competition has confirmed our belief that quality does indeed pay, all the time, and we are encouraged to step up our efforts of supplying and exporting only specialty coffee. This is a significant opportunity to widely promote Ethiopian coffee”.
