Guayacanes - El Tejar - Colombia 2021

Beatriz has been a coffee producer for more than 50 years being a pioneer in coffee production in this region next to her husband. Their hard work and tradition to keep not only the quality but special relationships with their neighbours and workers brought them the opportunity to create a social project called “Los Niños del Café” a day care where single mothers can take their children while working at the farm.

She and her daughter Lina explain the importance of keeping close relationships with the people that support them with the daily activities at the farm as a way to give back.
Lina explains that participating in local, regional and national contests has been the best way to constantly validate the profiles being produced at the farm and to position their work little by little.

They look forward to keep working on their social projects which have a huge impact in the evolution of the farm that will keep supporting their local workers.
