La Pacaya, 85.91 - Honduras 2021

Santos Benito Godoy Ferrera is the owner of Finca La Pacaya, located at 1,385 meters above sea level, in the village of La Condega, Municipality of Moroceli, Department of El Paraíso. During harvest season he employs about 10 to 15 people, to do different activities on his farm. He also cultivates beans, corn and bananas.
Four years ago it started to cultivate the Parainema variety, because he considers it has an excellent cup profile. Santos considers it very important to follow the recommendations of the IHCAFE technicians regarding the regulation of shadow, the proper and slow drying of coffee and the harvest of only the red beans in order to obtain a high quality production.
With the support of the Cup of Excellence buyers, I would like to improve my farm and to finish some projects I have dreamt of and also help my family. I encourage my fellow growers to get more involved in the cultivation of quality coffee and thus obtain better prices and be known in other nations.
