The land was acquired in 2019 due to environmental conditions, soil, location because is next to a bigger farm that has been in the family for years. The land was totally replant with Geisha, Pacamara and SL-28. Part of the farm is still a forest with the purpose of creating better micro climates and more resilient landscapes.
Las Hortensias belongs to a third generation of Coffee growers from Huehuetenango who saw the potential in the land and decided to carry out a complete renovation of the area and sow the lots separating varieties and agronomic management. The seeds from the geisha were bring from Panama and carefully selected to plant the best plants. This is the first Harvest and we are willing to keep investing in develop a better crop profile. The journey is just starting.
