Description
Tesfaye Bekele is a coffee exporting farmer who owns Tade GG Highland Forest Coffee Producer PLC. He has been a coffee farmer for the last 12 years. His farm is in Suke quto kebele, Odo Shakisso woreda in the East Guji zone of the Oromia region. He grows the Typical coffee variety on 221 hectares of land which is found at an altitude of 2000-2200 meters above sea level. Tesfaye collects an annual production of 477,179 kilograms processes his coffee into washed and natural dry coffee and exports it mainly to the United States, Japan, and different countries in Europe. Tesfaye says, “We have participated in other coffee competitions but none compares to the Cup of Excellence which is undertaken at a very high standard and with promises for better international market linkages. I am excited to win in this prestigious competition”.
