Description
The story of Finca Terrazas is deeply connected to a family legacy that began in 1958, when Jorge Vides founded Finca La Bolsa in the mountains of Huehuetenango. As a pioneer of specialty coffee in the region, he established a tradition built on hard work, innovation, and a commitment to quality.
Growing up surrounded by coffee farms, Nayo Ovalle became the third generation of a family dedicated to coffee production. In 2016, Nayo acquired Finca Terrazas, located high in the mountains of La Libertad, Huehuetenango, at elevations ranging from 1,850 to 1,950 meters above sea level. His vision was to create a farm focused on producing exceptional coffees through careful agronomic management and the development of traditional varieties such as Bourbon and Caturra.
Today, Finca Terrazas represents the union of tradition, innovation, and passion, producing coffees that showcase the extraordinary character of Huehuetenango while honoring the vision that began generations ago. The farm is also Rainforest Alliance Certified, reflecting its commitment to environmental stewardship, responsible agricultural practices, biodiversity conservation, and the wellbeing of the people and communities involved in coffee production.
