Daeng Balengkang started cultivating from 4 decades ago in around 1977 with approximately 50 Toje (local terms for truth / true / original; with typica variety) seeds gained from Bulu Balea village coffee tree, which only consists of 3 trees. From these three they resonance and improve growth for several other trees and the method is known from the colonial era. Like the majority, Topidi Village only produces commercial quality coffee with traditional processes. Until in 2016 Daeng Balengkang big family which initiated Toduri Coffee (which initially from Enrekang – South Sulawesi) harmonized with Topidi to produce ideal quality coffee at Bawakareang mountain protected forest. For the Cup of Excellence 2021, Topidi village through Daeng Balengkang and Daeng Halim tries to adapt with the new environment under patronage of big coffee producers at South Sulawesi.
