Josue Nahun Fernandez Sabillon is the owner of Finca Don Andrés Located in Las Flores, Santa Bárbara at 1450 meters, under the dense cloud forests of the Santa Barbara mountain.
When he was 15 years old, his father gave Josue Nahun and his 4 brothers a plot of land each of the farm that their father managed. With the desire to see them working in the future in those lands, where they have been successful producing coffee. He belongs to a fourth generation of coffee growers in his family.
It produces varieties of coffee such as Pacas, Catuaí, Bourbon, Parainema and Geisha.
On the Don Andres farm, 4 employees work permanently and during the coffee harvest from 20 to 25. Always trying to help and collaborate with the needs of each employee, teaching and setting an example in the community on environmental education and helping with infrastructure and access to the communities.
At the Don Andres farm they perform good practices in the coffee cultivation, they implement a proper management of coffee processing wastewater and pulp, giving it a better organic use, conservation areas in the middle of the cultivated areas, the least possible use of chemical compositions.
One of the many factors that makes the Finca Don Andres coffee special is the height and the microclimate that it has, in addition to the way of producing different from the conventional way, such as the nutrition that is given to the coffee plantation, the variety, harvesting, processes.
Cup of Excellence is a platform where coffee can reach a good market, and the potential that exists in each place where it is produced, is also a way to be known, it is also a good space for each producer.
