Description
The farm belonged to the paternal grandparents of our mother Angela, then our father Abraham acquired it; who continued with the coffee activity for 50 years, this activity was carried out with his wife and children who since we were little were involved in the management of the farm, in the processes especially of cleaning, harvesting and post-harvesting; Thanks to this work he was able to get his home forward, it also helped him in the education and professional training of almost all his children.
Abraham diversified the farm, including fruit trees such as cherimoya, luma, medlar, guabas, badea, citrus, pink pomace, apple, vegetables, strawberries, naranjillas, ornamentals, bananas, etc. In addition, he implemented the production of tilapia in a pond that he used to store water.
With the departure of Abraham in 2008, the farm was left in charge of his wife and children, in 2011 with the rust attack, almost 100 percent of the typical old coffee plantation was lost. over 100 years old; It was then that in 2014 the plantation was renewed with the support of the project Reactivation of coffee and national fine aroma cocoa, executed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG).
Currently we manage the crop, the 6 brothers, with the support of our family.
