Ronnie Alfredo Gabrie is the owner of Finca Los Colibríes, located at 1450 meters, in the village of San Luis Planes, in the municipality of Santa Bárbara, department of Santa Bárbara.
Ronnie has been cultivating coffee for more than 35 years. Although he started in his early days with the cultivation of low-quality or commercial coffees, he soon realized the importance of having certain attributes and characteristics to achieve specialty coffees.

His farm generates employment for 4 people who collaborate permanently and during the harvest season it employs 20 to 25 temporary coffee harvesters.

Ronnie is a very dedicated coffee producer. He emphasizesin taking care of the environment of his farm and has made many personal and family sacrifices to have the quality production that he currently has.
He grows avocado, lychee, citrus and timber trees such as cedar, to provide between 40% to 50% shade in his coffee plantation. For the fertilization of his farm he combines chemical and organic products such as coffee pulp and other types of natural composting.

Ronnie grows different varieties of coffee with a good cup profile and enhances their quality by using processes such as washed, semi-washed, anaerobic and prolonged fermentation for more than 84 hours.

He considers that the Cup of Excellence program is a window for the world to learn about the quality of his coffees, his dedication and the passion that characterizes him.
