Corazón de Jesús is a family company dedicated to produce and process specialty coffee in the southern region of Costa Rica among the highest mountains and virgin lands of the country. The Alvarado Fonseca family, the owners, is made up 7 members. The company has been growing coffee since 2012. At the beginning of 2015 with the desire of improvement, love and passion for the crop, they founded Corazon de Jesus to give their best to the markets. Year after year, the company seeks to improve its quality by creating innovative processes and planting new varieties. The company carries out good agriculture practices that reduce the environmental impact and contribute to improve the environment where the small plants are cultivated.
The Alvarado Fonseca Family bought this farm in 2017. This is a small experimental farm of two hectares. This is one of the first farms with Geisha planted in the Brunca region in the south of the country. This experimental farm has different types of Geisha, many of them from farms that have won Cup of Excellence, as well as a line of high-quality Geisha from one of the first farms planted with Geisha in Panamá.
Finca La Torre is located in the territorial division between the towns of División de Páramo and La Piedra de Rivas, at an altitude of 1950m. In 2021, we participated for the first time with this farm in Cup of Excellence and obtained the Fifth Place with an anaerobic process; the same Geisha used for this 2024. Finca La Torre is special for the family because it represents the excellence of the region, the hard work, the love and passion of their work as well as the mutual effort to improve every day and always offer a better product.
