Description
I grew up in a coffee farm. My parents told me that, back in the day, they had practised swidden agriculture, harvesting from opium poppy, rice and maize fields. Until the past 30 years, they have turned to a coffee plantation.
I am, literally, growing up with coffee. We are sharing the same age - the coffee plantation and I. Coffee does improve our livelihood.
We grow Arabica (Cartimor) at the farm. They were distributed by a government agency for farmers to replace poppy cultivation. Consequently, today we have coffee plantations to replace the poppy fields.
