Description

History of the farm
Today Fazenda Pedro Rodrigues is run by the second generation of the Mafra family. Valgleber Mafra is the son of Jonas Mafra, who began coffee production on the farm and is no longer with us, but his son continues the tradition together with his wife Jaquelane Silva de Góes Mafra.
During coffee production, in addition to the administration of Jaquelane and her husband Valgleber, there is the participation of other women in the cultivation, harvest and drying processes.
The coffee for this competition was picked by hand, the ripe cherries separated and dried on covered African beds. After drying, the coffee was screened and hand processed.
The quality of the coffee was guaranteed; a team raked it 12 times per day. African beds were first installed on the farm in 2020, guaranteeing the quality of the coffee.
Fazenda Pedro Rodrigues is certified by Olam with a guarantee of sustainability issued on 2 September 2021.
