Description
Idolia Idolia was founded in 1942. Mr. Lizandro Diaz bought it to join it to Santa Ana. It is located in Santa Rosa, next to Tecuamburro volcano, at 1500 meters above sea level. It has 35 Hectares of coffee. Quality control begins when receiving the cherries, at the beneficio, located in Santa Ana. Only red ripen cherries are received in the wet mill. The beneficio utilizes clean production techniques, recycling water for the last step for washing coffee. Coffee is then put in patios for approximately 13 days for drying. This allows the best quality for parchment coffee of Bourbón, Catuai and Pache varieties. Shade trees of Gravilea provide shade to maintain a proper microclimate for coffee. In the farm, rivers and animals are kept in its natural ambience. This is the third generation managing the farm.
