Disney Alxander was born in Pitalito the 25th of February of 1987. Today he is a member of the group of high quality coffee “Caney”. Thanks to god and his parents -Salomon Artunduaga and Luz Mari Ortiz- since he and his 5 brothers they taught them the love for work. From that is how he could make a lot of goals in his life; one of this; being the number 7th in the Cup of Excellence, he will keep trying to be the number one. His parents have give him the opportunity to study, he made the 10 grade in high school and still we is receiving training by institutions like SENA, The Coffee Committee of Huila, Agroempresarial, that was the organization that support them in the process of Rainforest Certification. Care of the Environment The farm is Rainforest Certified, they are taking car of the “mother earth”, they contribute with the No Pollution to the Environment and the protection of the stream “El Caney”. He is doing the coffee labours with a rational use of water; they have the “Ecologic Method” for the coffee process, so they use the pulp to make compost that late is re-use in the vegetable garden or in the earth for the new coffee trees; also they are paying attention to the activities that affect the forest, soil, birds and animals, meaning that the practices that they are doing are according to the preservation.
