The Higueros is located about 16 km from Yorito Yoros Municipality. It is located in a mountain that has a variety of natural species of trees. Being a wooded zone with a 40% shade, makes it friendly with the environment. In this zone the species of Nogal, Guama,Inga, Royal Cedar, Mahogany, Nance, Aguacatillo, Liquidambar (Swwetgum) predominate. There is also a great quantity of migratory birds as well as exotic animals, such as white tail deer , monkeys, squirrels, agoutis, armadillos and ocelots. This estate has been handled for 10 years and it has its proper care zones such as latrines and trashcans placed in strategic places of the estate for use of its own workers. During harvest season Emeterio hires an average of 50 coffee pickers daily which contribute to the family income of many of the habitants of the sector.
