Ligia Diaz was born on August 26th of 1936, in Narino department, she is 47th years old. At “San Jose” farm, with her family, she continues the Coffee work, always trying to improve quality process, because she understands the importance and influence that the crop has for the family progress. The farm is part of Specialty Coffee Programs, so the conservation practices are a natural topic of her activities and of her neighbors too. So at the farm they are developing activities for protection of water births, strategic plantations and handle residual products like the pulp and waste waters, using organic fertilizers and good agriculture practices. The farm is starting with the Rainforest Alliance certification. She is member of the Cooperative of Coffee Growers of Western Narino.
