Name and Location of the Farm:

The Farm Bella Aurora is located in the Municipality of Dipilto, Nueva Segovia. In an average altitude of 1400 mosl, with a average temperature of 22° and a average precipitation of 1,700 Mt. The varieties that are cultivated are Caturra and Maracaturra, under shadow of Ingus and banana trees. We care from environment and we have special attention to the quality of coffee that is produce.

Tell us The Farm History: 

In the Farm Bella Aurora was started to work on the 50 years, there was no way to go in, only walking; after was it possible to go in horses and after that was made a narrow path by hands with purpose to inentroduce a Jeep Willy and then a Suzuki.

The Farm has 49 Apples of land, are cultivated varieties of Caturra and Maracaturra under shadow. The average harvest is one thousand to one thousand and two hundreds Quintals.

Family Generations:

My family are my wife and my three sons and a daugther. Currently who administrates the Farm is my son Luis Joaquin Lovo, who has made that it grows and that it looks like a garden.

What is your secret for winning the competition?

A good cultural handling plan, good control of pests and diseases, proper fertilization, a good cut of ripe cherry seeking to be as uniform, good calibration of machines for depulping, using shaker of sieve, good fermentation and washing point, use clean water, transportation immediately to the drying yard and a good drying mill process.

How do you feel to have been a winner?

Very satisfied, as it is a reward to our work and a way to open to the quality markets.

It is an event that has contributed to well-being of coffee produce and this gives to know our excellent quality to the world.
