Andres Collazos Rivera is married with Ana Libya Guzman and they have 3 children Darly, Johan Esteban and Gerdy Yulieth. In 1997 when we was 17 years old he acquires the farm “Buenavista” in the village “San Isidro” at the municipality of Acevedo – Huila, where at the moment he resides. This land has an extension of 2 hectares with coffee lots of variety caturra, he in each of the total lots some in renovation process as zoca coffee and today the property is in ages between the 2 and 6 years of the coffee trees; optimal ages to produce coffee of high quality. Taken care of the environment, the coffee production is done under the concept of the conservation of the environment, having implemented the good agricultural practices where the conservation of soil is vital because the coffee plantation is in a slope zone, also the they manage the water that comes from the coffee process and treatment like separation of all the solids resulting from the house, also the control of plagues and diseases focuses on cultural practices as the review of recollection for the case of the damage insect “Broca” and the case of the fungus “Roya” with preventive fumigations. The Coffee Process: The selection of coffee is done by the mature recollection, they pass every 20 days to the coffee lots when is the harvesting time and the conception at the farm and for the pickers that work there is that only mature cherries guarantee an excellent quality coffee drink. The wet milling process is traditional with fermentation and after that they dried the coffee in a cement patio. The main harvest is from October to December collecting 80% of the total production and for the secondary harvest “mitaca” from May to June with the 20% left.
