Amparo Perdomo Astudillo was born the 18th of December of 1966 in Belen de los Andaquies - Caqueta, daughter of Belarmino Perdomo and Carmen Astudillo, with 4 brothers from whom she is the oldest, when the family arrived to the municipality of Acevedo - Huila, she was only one year old, they were established in the village “La Primavera”, her parents had a coffee farm of 4 hectares. She studied until third grade of primary school, and she stopped studying so her brothers could enter the school. When she was 11 years old, she began to work by her own as a coffee picker in neighboring farms, in that time the payment per day was 50 pesos, and together with the brothers they helped their parents to attend their property; to fertilizer the coffee plantations, to collect it and many other activities that came with coffee. Since she was little she is a great worker, she has a lot of expectations for her life. When she was 18 of age she got married in a catholic church with the father of her children Mr. Jose Agustin Agudelo Moreno from a coffee family also. She is the mother of three children, Sandra Agudelo, Acened Agudelo and Jose Agustin Agudelo. In the year 1988 they moved to the city of Garzon to initiate a new life, at the time they sold the farm they had in Acevedo and then they bought the property she actually has in the path “El Meson de Garzon” in 1998. During the last years they have being dedicated to the management of the farm with all the family support they need to accomplish that, getting a better quality coffee and a better life. Time pass and she got interested on being part of the Cooperative Coocentral, that actually has giving her a lot of support and benefits, at the same time they are now UTZ and FLO certified which offer them another way to organize their farm and quality familiar life. At the moment they keep working to obtain the best quality coffee always.
