He later moved to San Juan, Intibuca where he started as an independent producer through a program called: Programa DRIL-La Paz-Intibuca, made to support small producers. He received some money credit which helped him plant 2Mz Catuai, and was later able to harvest 5.6 hectares. This allowed him to purchase the farm PENIEL II, located in Rio Colorado, San Nicolas, Intibuca with an area of 8.4 hectares. He selected the batch of coffee that participated in the 2010-2011 Cup of Excellence from here, achieving the 25th place with a score of 85.25, this being his second time participating. What do you think is the secret of your success? 1-Agroecological conditions in the zone. 2-Good agronomic program (fertilization, cleaning) 3-Performs a great coffee milling process due to the ecological equipment he uses and the sun-drying on concrete patios. How does it feel to be a winner in the Cup of Excellence? Very satisfied because it is a very important window that opens me to a different market level. This allows me a direct relationship with the buyer so I can sell my next coffee harvest.

His experience in the Cup of Excellence:
