History of the farmSitio da Matinha

was acquired in 1947 by Mr. Edio Anacleto Miranda, a coffee grower with

more than 50 years of experience also responsible for the administration

of the farm. On Sitio da Matinha there are four springs and a river with a beautiful

waterfall, which traverses the entire property. The terrain is rugged,

with elevations that vary from 900 to 1,400 meters, and has a reforested

area of 20 hectares. The entire watercourse is protected by riparian

forests.Mr. Edio Anacleto Miranda has a great dream of

transforming the site into an inn where he would benefit from the coffee

that already has some national awards and also from the beauty of the

site which has several springs and beautiful waterfalls offering rural

tourism.Coffee processing systemThe harvest

is done manually, aiming at the creation of jobs. After the harvest the

coffee is taken to the pulper. The water used in this phase is

completely recycled, with the use of a settling tank. Next, the beans

are taken to dry on concrete or suspended patios, where they are

separated according to quality. After the quality selection, the lots

are kept separated in warehouses.
