History of the farmSitio Bela Vista

is part of a familial society, between mother and four children, where

coffees of the highest quality and winners of several contests are

grown.The

property is situated in the “Indicacao de Procedencia da Serra da

Mantiqueira” (Indication of Origin of the Serra da Mantiqueira mountain

range) region, in the south of Minas Gerais, and has fertile lands and

forest reserve areas. We carefully concern ourselves with preserving

springs and forests, thus guaranteeing abundance of water and vast

fauna. In addition to the cultivation of quality coffees, the

property is also dedicated to raising Mangalarga Marchador horses. Coffee processing systemDue to the topography

and in order to guarantee quality, the harvest is selective and is done

manually over cloths, avoiding contact of the fruit with the ground.

Next, the beans are taken to the processing area to be washed, soon

after drying follows. The beans are carefully spread on concrete drying

patios and raked from 15 to 20 times per day. The drying, done by sun,

is slow and homogenous. The beans, upon reaching the idea humidity

percentage, are stored in covered wooden granaries, where they rest for

a period of 30 days. After the rest period, the lots are processed,

bagged and stocked at the Cocarive Cooperative, in Carmo de Minas, for

commercialization.Concern about qualityAs a

philosophy, the properties appreciate the socioenvironmental

responsibility and personal dedication in the search for production with
