Description

Overview:

I was born in the path “Chicharonal” of the municipality of Corinto located in the department of Cauca, on August 2nd of 1964, in a numerous and humble family but of coffee culture from whom I learnt about coffee since I was a kid. We didn’t have enough land for the coffee cultivation and that was the reason why my parents rented a farm in a neighboring path (“Santa Helena”).After long time of work, with savings done because of coffee, he bought a farm in the path were I was born. It had very old coffee and some illicit plants; the idea was to renovate it with coffee of Colombia variety. When I was 32 years old I got married and in this moment I have 4 children, 3 boys Javier, Orlando and Wilder and one girl called Briyith Celena. Four years ago, the father of my children left our home. I never thought this would happen but it wasn’t an excuse to fall in pain and stay back. With a lot of encourage and mentally prepared to succeed with my children, I decided to work hard with them, managing coffee as I learnt from my father.
Thanks to God, coffee has been giving me good results. My goal is to continue working very hard because one of our dreams with my children is to remodel the house and in that way have better life conditions. I wish I can improve my incomes and that my children continue studying never forgetting about the countryside, especially about coffee that is the better thing it could have happen to us in the latest times.
