Description

Overview:

I, Fernando Zemanate Bambague, was born 48 years ago in the path “Popayan Chiquito” located in the municipality of “San Sebastian” in Cauca. My father, Geremias Zamanate and my mother, Margarita Bambague, taught me values as honesty, leadership and teamwork always in favor of community. They also inherited me the farm now called “La Toma” where I began to plant beans, corn and sugarcane, but the search for a better sustainable economy led me to plant coffee in 2002 as my fist time, with Colombia variety. These ten years as a coffee farmer have been for me and my family the best and positive ones in the economic, social and environmental aspect. I have the fortune of having the support of an exceptional woman, my wife, Maria Esperanza Romero Anacona, and a beautiful child called Yonier Andres Zemanate Romero, who is in fourth grade of elementary school.
I have many dreams to accomplish so in that way I can offer my family a better life. Now, besides of being a successful coffee grower, also my priority is community because I am the council of the municipality of “San Sebastian”. I hope that now on, my life changes for a better benefit for my family and my community who is the one I work for. I want to continue being the best coffee farmer the rest of my years to contribute on the production of the world’s best coffee: Colombia N COFFEE… Thank you.
