Name and Location of Farm:

Casa Blanca is located in the community of Los Planes, Dipilto, Nueva Segovia. The prevailing microclimate is influenced by the mountains of the Pyrenees and other mountains nearby called La Corona. The altitude ranges from 1.100 up to 1.500 meters, with a rainfall between 1.600 to 2.000 mm per year. This lot is located on average in the 1,400 meters above sea level.

Tell us the story of your Farm:

Years of ownership, number of blocks and production areas. Number of quintals harvest, variety of coffee, other crops. One lot comprising the farm, geographically lot of coffee is the oldest of Nueva Segovia. The farm was formed through several owners and many neighbors were acquired over time. Until 1986 my father bought it, I inherited at 2.007, Nowadays I have 50 hectares producing. 1.800 bushels harvested. I am in the process of producing plant breeding, I have 4 years. We have invested heavily in our quality processes; we have Brazilian technology in the wet mill and adaptations. We have a Quality Control System very effective, called: 7 Times Classified!Family Generations:
My family consists by my wife, three children, two brothers and me. I am the fourth generation to work with coffee.

What is your secret for winning the competition?

To improve significantly the quality of my coffee ... I have four years working in how improving the quality of my coffee.

How do you feel to be a winner?

I feel very proud and satisfied, Ive been working hard for several years.

What do you think of the Cup of Excellence?

Competition has significantly improved their quality tests and requirements. It is evolving, is going to offer only high quality coffee.
