Name and Location of Farm:

Farm located in the community of Dipilto community at a height of 1350 meters above sea level about 24 kilometers from the city of Ocotal, we have varieties of mara, catimor, catuai yellow with shades of Bucaro and we handle the shade at a rate of 60% with two applications fertilization and to control diseases in addition to coffee growing, basic grains planted for use by my family and we have fruit trees.

Tell us the story of your Farm:

My farm was inherited from my parents since then worked the farm with my brother; we split the work at harvest time. Romulo delivers the coffee and the Mill wet, we are seven brothers not only not only planted coffee and we have been planted vegetables such as potatoes and cabbage and sometimes tomatoes.

What is your secret for winning the competition?

My secret is to take care of the coffee plantation in the maturation time of the cut and pulped and especially the love of my family.

How do you feel to be a winner?

First I thank God for giving me this great opportunity. This is great merit to have a great coffee in Nicaragua through the Mill of The Segovia’s that always consider as a small producer.

What do you think of the Cup of Excellence?

For many year this competitions has been very important for us to benefit small and medium producers to sell our coffee to get best prices.
