Rugamba Washing Station - Rwanda 2012 Verified listing

RUGAMBA CWS is located in Boneza Sector, Rutsiro District, in Western Province at a very high altitude and it is owned by KZNOIR. The CWS started in 2011.it is mainly working with individual farmers who own around 60 ha. Farmers associations are grouped into smaller associations called TWITEZIMBEREBAHINZI, ABISUNGANYE and DUTABARANE (widowers’ association), mainly located into two sectors Boneza and Mushonyi, women account for 25% and the rest are men. For the first time, as a newly built CWS, Rugamba CWS has embarked in CoE completion this year (2012) and has won among the CoE 2012 winners. This shows a very clear determination in achieving and producing high quality coffee.
