Description

My name is Luis Eduardo Restrepo Luján; I was born the 23rd of May of 1969 in the municipality of Giraldo – Antioquia. I being a coffee farmer my entry life, my parents have being also coffee producers and they skilled me the activities of seeding, planting and processing of quality coffee.  I work at the farm with my wife Alba Nancy, my son Santiago and my daughters Maricela and Daniela they are studding at college and they support at the farm. 8 years ago a group of people from the village got together and formed an associative group; we trained with a several number of institutions that give us the support and now days the coffee form the villages La Sierra and La Sierrita is recognized by several coffee buyers as high quality coffee.

Thought the Cooperative of Coffee Growers of Occidente a lot of clients search our coffee due to the different flavor and the social and environmental responsibility way of managing. This year the coffee Committee of Antioquia organized a regional coffee contest and form the village 8 lots were in the best 20; something rally manful from a participation of 2800 form the whole department of Antioquia. All these awards are coming from a big quality job from the associative group and each member. My family and I, we have around 3 hectares in coffee, and the most relevant is the ensuring of the quality since the moment we plant it until we deliver to the cooperative.

When somebody ask me about my dream, I say I want to be a coffee producer until the end, with my family; watch them to become professionals, to plant more coffee lots and enjoy the quality life we have in the village La Sierra, that a large number of roasters know and try our excellent coffee and support with good prices.
