Potrero Grande - Colombia 2013 Verified listing

I was born in Pitalito – Huila the 26th of April of 1976 within a humble and hardworking purely in coffee, residents in the village Palmito, located in the district of Bruselas. When I was 7 years old my parents bought the farm “Potrero Grande”, at age of 18 I met my husband Marcial Buitrón Ortega whom we have a beautiful home, then when I was 19 our only child born Belby Buitrón Muñoz. After some time with my husband we decided to administer the farm of my father for about 10 years, we started with 5,000 coffee trees and today with a big effort and sacrifice we own the property and have a little over 25,000 trees, between Caturra and Castillo varieties.

We are coffee lovers, because we grew up between coffees, but also we are preserving the forest, we have planted in the “Guachichos” river basin more than 2,000 cedar, bamboo, pines and other natives trees; in addition to these we are very proud of having a natural reserve of 2 hectares planted in Bombona Palm unique and native form our department.
