I was born in Palestina (Huila) on the 26th of July of 1966. My origin is from Santander form my father`s side and from Quindío from mother`s side; she is from Genova. But I am very proud of being form Palestina. The love and most of the knowledge of coffee I got from inheritance of my father, as well as the farm; in which I started since I was very young and I was buying some lots close by until I complete 8 hectares that is the total area of my farm today. When I was 18 years old I met the women of my dreams Nubia Muñoz Campos, with whom I have a family of three children Diana, Oscar and Sebastian.

To get to the first winner of Cup of Excellence is the result of hard and constant family work, that is being consolidated day by day and where we have had sacrifices and success. Since the year 2005 I started my participation in the competition Cup of Excellence, passing for not getting in the finalist, getting to the finalist and winners and finally get to be winner. At the same time I had the recognition in the state of Huila as a enterpriser coffee producer in November last year, I was also representing the producers as member of the board of directors of the municipal coffee committee and for the last two periods and the second one I was doing that representation as the president.
