Description

Overview:

Closet the year 1879 the original owner of what today is Finca Himalaya, Don Onofre Durán clue in his grandson Raúl Salaverría Durán that from a distance his Apaneca area farms penumbra looked very similar to the Nepal-China giants peak. Soon after like a rapid wind, word of mount kept replaying the same thought to all Ahuachapán area residents and the name stuck. Even on El Salvador official Geo maps it reads as cerro de Himalaya, coffee land.

Flash forward to 2013 and within the property lies a sub-lot or tablón of roughly 5 acres called Divisadero. Mauricio Arturo 5th generation coffee grower planted yellow caturra and Pacamara and the flavor explosion did not disappoint.

Tablón Divisadero has been a COE farm in 2011 and 2013. The secret core is believed to lie somewhere deep in the mixture of reddish clay and pure volcanic ash. Shrubs seem to enjoy their existence a probably echo Don Onofre whispers of a shadow from a distant land.
