Overview:
The Coffee area of Los Naranjos in Western El Salvador was already well established and producing one of the better cups of the world in the year 1949. Don Luis Cáceres known to have the best livestock of the time saw the potential in his 150 acres of pines, Pastures and beautiful rolling hills and decided to plant the Bourbón Varietal. He off course had rapid gratifications for his efforts.
Soon after Cáceres Mata sisters continued to invest and all through the 1970s and 1980s and the farms did not disappoint, averaging 3-4 times the national average in production with the complement of a superb cupping profile that at first was recognized by the first wave of local cuppers.
Finca CruzGorda - Tablón El Copo (or top) is the highest point of the farm at approximately 1,500 masl. It has awesome views of all the famed Apaneca Ilamatepec Mountain Range and Coffee in this particular crop was one of the sweetest in its History.
