Description

Overview:

Is one of the pioneers of coffee cultivation in the department of Huehuetenango.

Many corn areas became coffee plantation. The first coffee trees were planted by his owner Don Hugo Chavez Mendez, in a batch called Villa Nueva that was pretty much where the farm started in the year 1955. The first coffee trees were Bourbón and then, trying to find a little more manageable varieties, Caturra and some others were added, many of which were removed as it is not got the quality of coffee that the farm was used to produce. So now varieties that can be found in most of the farm are: Arabica, Bourbón and Caturra.

All coffee grown in the farm comes from seeds classified from the same plantation, from production areas with the best qualities and characteristics to achieve all that is of excellent quality and therefore obtain a final product with the best features, good taste, good smell, good acidity, good body: finally a good cup.

Weather conditions and altitude where the coffee is grown in the Limonar and nearby areas, allowing the bean to develop in excellent condition, which guarantees a high standard of quality. In a natural environment of immense wealth of flora and fauna, the farm also has a serious commitment to the preservation of these species, for it takes less impact on production using good agricultural practices as part of environmental responsibility that can be expressed from seed to cup.
