Description
History of the Farm:
Sítio Gleba da Chácara is located in the municipality of Carmo de Minas, in the Indication of Origin (IP) Region denominated Mantiqueira de Minas, with coffee crops ranging in elevation from 1150 to 1250 meters. We are the 4th-generation coffee growers, from a familial group called “Sítio da Torre,” we produce pulped natural (wet method) and also natural coffee (dry method), always focusing on the quality of our coffees, as we are certain that when coffee is well-cared-for from the plantation to post-harvest it will always be “special.”
Our harvest is selective and drying is done on cement patios, where we rely on a team of well-trained collaborators, the beans being spread in thin layers and raked several times per day, the coffee lots are numbered and identified in the yard in order of us to always have traceability for each lot we produce. We produce quality coffee, however we never forget to preserve the environment, as we are certain that human/environment integration provides us with sustainable coffee.
