History of the Farm:
San Pablo is located in Palo de Campana, Santa Ana on the Santa Ana volcano. Established as a coffee plantation around 1930.
San Pablo is totally surrounded by a National Park ¨Los Volcanes¨ with and extended variety of flora and fauna as deers, tepescuintles, cusucos, comadrejas, raccoons, porcupines, and many other wild animals. As its neightbor farm Santa Elena, has for long been known for its very fertile lands. It received volcanic ashes in the eruption of Ilamapepec volcano in 2006, which makes the soil even more rich and fertile. The coffee production process is of a traditional kind, coffee is grown under shade trees, mostly ingas, cypress, corozo trees, in total about 75 different species of shade trees . Soil type is from volcanic origins, very well drained and with high organic matter contents. Actually is managed as an organic Rain Forest farm. San Pablo has maintained its traditional and original plantation distribution of trees.
