Coffee Farm El Diamante is located in the Community of San Rafael de Tauquil, at 17.80 Km North of the Municipality of Jalapa, Nueva Segovia.

Tell us The Farm History:

I'm owner the farm El Diamante since nineteen years ago. The area from the farm is 500 Apples of land, from which 150 are coffee in production and growing. The farm produces 4,000 Quintals. There are two varieties of coffee (Caturra And Catimor). This farm is Rainforest Alliance Certified.

Family Generations:

My family is composed by myself, my wife Mrs. Alma Rosa Jimenez and two children William Villagra Jiménez and Victor Villagra Jiménez.

What is your secret for winning the competition?

It is integrated crop handling. Both the agricultural time and the time of harvest in wet and dry mill.

How do you feel to have been a winner?

I feel satisfied to have won and we will keep striving to keep improving our coffee.

What do you think about the Cup of Excellence?

That is a good competition because the quality of the coffee produced in Nicaragua is known. And thanks to this, we are given the opportunity in international markets.
