Farmer’s Biography:

I am from the municipality of Toledo. From my mother's womb, I was already surrounded by coffee plantations, because my parents, since we were children, were coffee growers and therefore I was taught, from my first years, about everything related to coffee farming.

My El Silencio farm is located in the rural district of Sabanalarga, in the municipality of Toledo. I'm very happy in these lands, because it was here where I was born 58 years ago and now I am the owner, as my parents gave them to me as an inheritance 35 years ago.

My wife María Nelly, my only son Sergio and my grandchildren Samuel, 5 years old, and Andrés Santiago, 3 months old, are my life and great support in this coffee business El Silencio, which thank God always has been very generous to us, as it has given us very good yields and great joy, because it is around coffee growing that my family has been strengthened and kept united.

Being a coffee grower is not just a job for me, but all that I am, and I want to keep growing coffee for the rest of my life, taking care of my lands and the nature with love, so that the coffee I produce is the best of Colombia and around the world.
