DESCRIPTION:

The farm is located in the Republic of El Salvador , Santa Ana department, municipality of Santa Ana, Canton Lomas de San Marcelino; at an altitude of 145 mts to 1750 mts above the sea level, with a variety of Bourbón coffee under shade, with an area of __200mz. It has 50 mz of native primary forest area that has never wanted to use as a form of environmental conservation.

It is part of the coffee region of Apaneca – Ilamatepec Mountain range. The Ilamatepec volcano is in front of the property and the name was chosen because from the farm you can see the beauty of Coatepeque Lake.

It has an average annual rainfall of 2300mm. The manager of the farm is Don Carlos Mancia.

HISTORY:

In 1925 my father José Leonardo Figueroa, began to dabble in the cultivation of coffee and began to buy some hectares in the area, and then he was able to buy more up on to the extent that currently have the farm.

In the year of the depression of the United States, the prices of coffee came down, but my father Lilies survive the crisis by planting Lilies, is a variety of flower that needs the climate of the area.

In 1968 he decided to form a company called JOSE FIGUEROA ARBIZU AND COMPANY; which is the current owner of the farm and he continued to serve as administration by society until 1991, where he died.

From that date until today the administrator of the society has been JOSE EDUARDO FIGUEROA.

Since 2009 the farm has been participating in the CUP OF EXCELLENCE program and has always qualified for the international jury.

It has a 650 qq specialty coffee.
