Description

Buenas Noches (Goodnight) community in the municipality Moroceli, Department of El Paraiso has earned that name with full justice, almost a full day is needed (If you leave in the morning arrive at night) to get to this beautiful but remote place. The farm Goodnight Mauricio Colindres, stands out among the hundreds of coffee growers in the area and who are dedicated almost exclusively to the production of coffee, corn and beans.

Mauricio is the third generation of his family dedicated to coffee production, since childhood he learned from his grandfather and father as producing coffee and slowly he discovered how to produce good quality coffee.

His life revolves around the family and the farm, and all their efforts are to provide the best for his wife and three beautiful daughters .He and his wife dream of the future of their daughters and see how to build a future for them, however their young age, they have very clear what they want for their life: one wants to be an engineer, and the other doctor.

His estate is 1300 masl have planted the variety Parainema and handled in a conventional system, fertilize twice a year according the technical recommendations of IHCAFE, the coffee produced under shade trees of Guama and bananas. The picking is done with the help of local people who have been trained to pick the coffee when ripe. The process of coffee is washed and he takes great care of the quality and purity of the water used for washing the coffee. The coffee is drying in the solar dryer that built upon the recommendation of IHCAFE technician.

Mauricio is proud to be a producer of coffee and feel very grateful to the COE and the IHCAFE for the technical support they give him.
