Dunia Aracely Sanchez produces coffee by family tradition since 2003, is the daughter of Doña Lucinda Vasquez first place COE 2014, his father, who passed away, instilled in her a passion for coffee and a small farm left them a legacy.

Her farm La Esperanza is in the community of Los Patios, Santa Elena, La Paz in the mountainous area in located at 1,700 meters. She cultivates the variety Pache and her farm is covered by shade of fruit trees and others like Guama.

In addition to producing coffee, Dunia is the teacher in the community school in Santa Elena, and work hard for the development of their community especially the welfare of children. She is happy to be a coffee farmer, as the work of her farm 12 families in the community year after year working with her to get the production.

The work on the farm is carried out with the help of her husband and two sons, management is conventional with the use of fertilizers always following the recommendations of technicians of IHCAFE, the harvest is a family activity and locals who are hired in the period of greatest harvest. Dunia personally oversees the picking and coffee mills and is very demanding because she knows the importance of these stages to achieve high quality coffee. The process of coffee is washed and mountain water for fermentation and washing thereof is used. All pre-drying and drying is completed in a solar dryer that have been built to improve the quality of their coffee.
