MARABA III SOVU is a cooperative owned CWS located in Huye Sector in Huye District, Southern Province. This is one of the 4 washing stations owned by Abahuzamugambi ba kawa cooperative and was constructed in 2005. The cooperative is made of 1372 members and 500 farmers supply directly to maraba III Sovu washing station. Maraba is known worldwide to be source of one of the finest coffee in this region. Maraba sector is recognized to be among the best coffee growing area in the world. Our coffee is grown on mountains with rich soil, high altitudes and abundant rainfall which give the Bourbón coffee trees suitable conditions for their growth  and to yield the best Arabica coffee.

To be able to supply high end speciality coffee market our coffee is carefully grown in the right conditions and the cherries are carefully handpicked and washed with fresh clean natural water. Our coffeeare treated with the highest care possible throughout the whole processing processes. From the handpicked fully-ripen cherries a strict sorting is conducted at each delivery. The best cherries are processed using a mechanical pulper and at this period low grade beans are separated from high grade beans. Beans are then fermented and then graded again using flotation channels that sort the coffee by weight where we choose the heaviest as the best. After rinsing and cleaning beans are sun dried and carefully stored and supplied to high end markets.
