Franco is the third generation of coffee producers and has two children. He is interested in reducing the environmental impact by reducing the amount of water used for his washed coffees and is trying extended fermentations according to the weather expecting to improve his quality. Besides the two varieties he has grown (Colombia and Tabi) he is now growing orange Bourbón.
Franco recommends to coffee growers to be as clean as possible with the process and to avoid the coffee reach high temperatures during the fermentation process. He feels motivated to keep participating in Cup of Excellence and wants to invest in the infrastructure of his farm.
