José Daniel Cobilt Castro Cañada Fría

The farm counts on its own nurseries to renew its coffee plots, selecting healthy and quality seedlings. They are very responsible with the protection of the environment once they use organic-certified fertilizers.

Finca Cañada Fría is named due to its location at 1350 meters above sea level, in the deep rainforest of the Madre Oriental mountain rage. The soil is of great quality with nutrients and humidity that favors coffee cultivation. “We have our own nursery so we don’t bring soil from other zones as this can be a source of plagues or other contaminations. For avoiding erosion, we planted trees like encino, vanilla and dispepe. The cultivation is shadegrown. Harvest season begins in January, we select the most ripened cherries”.

Farm is located in Tlatetela municipality, Veracruz state.
