Description

History of the farm

located in the city of Carmo de Minas, is situated in the Mantiqueira de Minas Indication of Origin region, in what is called the Circuito das Águas region of the Sul de Minas Gerais, which is internationally known for the quality of its mineral water reservoirs, with exceptional climate and the beauty of its mountainous scenery, with coffee planted at elevations varying from 1100 to 1300 meters, uniting the ideal conditions for producing specialty coffees. A set of soils, climate and elevation, together with the centennial tradition of coffee growing, enables the production of the finest coffees in Brazil. We produce quality coffees, never forgetting to preserve the environment, as we are certain that the integration of man and the environment provides us with sustainable coffee cultivation. We are the 4th generation of coffee-producers from a familial group (Sítio da Torre), and since 2003, we have been using the wet method – pulped natural, however we continue to produce natural coffee (dry method), always focusing on the quality of our coffees, as we are certain that when coffee is well cared for from the fields to post-harvest, it will always be “special.”

Coffee processing system

The coffee is harvested by hand and taken to the farmyard twice per day where it is washed and pulped on the same day and spread on the concrete patio and African bed until it reaches 11.5% moisture. Then it is stored grain store for about 30 days, later it is processed and taken to warehouse at Cocarive - Cooperativa Regional dos Cafeicultores do Vale do Rio Verde.
