BRIEF HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF THE FARM THE SABINO AS A COFFEE AREA

The farm is inheritance and were won during the Mexican Revolution

The coffee intensified its sowing during the years 1970 having several varieties like Typica, Mundonovo, Borbon, Caturra and Garnica.

The ORCE MAZATECA Organization, to which we belong, sheltered the rescue of coffee growing in our region, two years ago we returned to our coffee plantations after 20 years since the fall in the price of coffee and the disappearance of the INMECAFE.

The harvest of coffee takes place with the most meticulous care of selection, these cuts are carried out by members of the family previously trained. The cherries rest 12 hrs, the pulping takes place without water, the fermentation time lasts from 24 to 48 hrs due to the microclimate and height of the plot, the washing, drying, and selection of parchment is done among all the family nucleus, and by single mothers who seek economic subsistence.

Alternate crops: corn, beans, sugar cane, bananas, lychee, passion fruit, avocado, cuajinicuiles, orange, lime, lemon and black zapote.
Trees: between them they exist. cuajinicuil cimarron, oak, mezquite, ash tree, leucaena (guajes).
Fauna; squirrels, raccoons, cacomiztle, foxes, opossums, armadillos, deer, rabbits, tigrillo nebulosa, fish Etc.
Birds: several species of birds, owls, hawks, pigeons, vultures.
Near our plots are several ahuehuetes that date from the glory years of the Mexicas when the Mazatecos paid tribute, these sacred trees were planted.
It is what we offer in the cultivation of coffee from 1440msnm up to 1600msnm taking care of the environment.
