Description
Farm Equimite was named like this because of the diversity of trees the land has. Between the trees that bring shadow to the coffee plantations, there is Equimite trees. I started to work in my farm since 2007 when I bought it. In 2008, I began to cultivate two varieties of coffee plants: ten hectares of Garnica variety and 1 hectare of Pacamara variety. In 2010 the plants began to produce.
The fertilization is done twice, once in June and once in September, for this we have two persons that helps us. The weed control is done by 5 people. For plague control we use Priorix-tra which is applied also by two persons. In the same farm we have plantation of bananas even though coffee production is the main economic activity.
For shadow we have trees of Chalahuite, Oak, Equimite, Níspero, Jinicuil, Quibrache, Orange, Lemon and Lime.
The wet and drying milling are done in the Equimite farm, where we make diversity of process as washed, honey and naturals.
