Artemio is a 2nd generation coffee producer, he learned about coffee production when he was a child but due to the constant price fluctuations he decided to work in construction as he grew up in order to keep a better income. 

Despite the challenges that coffee production has brought, Artemio kept learning about quality and thanks to some training he started to improve his practices and back in 2016 decided to dedicate full time to his coffee farm.

Today he grows Caturra, Colombia, Pink Bourbon, Maragogype and Catillo. He explains that processing his coffees takes longer than usual as his farm has no water access meaning that he picks the cherries and takes them to his father in law farm to process them. Controlling every step of the coffee production has been key to ensure quality in the cup he expects to keep participating in this contest and keep exploring with new processing methods.
